Yabu Pushelberg is a studio which designs build­ings, inte­ri­ors, land­scapes, light­ing, prod­ucts, and graphics. Its designers create fascinating immer­sive envi­ron­ments. George Yabu and Glenn Pushel­berg found­ed the stu­dio in 1980 with a special focus on inte­ri­or design and since the company grew into a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary project.

 

 

With offices in New York and Toron­to and a team of more than a hun­dred cre­ative art pro­fes­sion­als, Yabu Pushelberg’s attention goes well beyond what things look like, to how they make peo­ple feel. Experiences is what they build together.

 

 

The design studio and its founders earned several honours, includ­ing being appoint­ed Offi­cers of the Order of Cana­da, included in the Inte­ri­or Design Hall of Fame and named among the world’s most influ­en­tial design stu­dios by Wall­pa­per*, Elle Décor, Hos­pi­tal­i­ty Design, and the Busi­ness of Fash­ion. However, awards are not their pri­ma­ry con­cerns. They’re always focused on what’s next, and never stop searching for the new and inno­v­a­tive, as they wish to bring to life the most mem­o­rable expe­ri­ences.

 

 

Their clients include well-known hotel and resort brands, devel­op­ers, retail­ers, restau­ra­teurs, man­u­fac­tur­ers, entre­pre­neurs and cre­ative indi­vid­u­als look­ing to stand out from the crowd. Thomas O’Brien is an interior and home furnishings designer based in New York City. He is the founder and President of Aero Studios, one of America’s leading design companies, and the manager of Aero Ltd., the iconic home boutique that is the retail face of the studio.

 

 

Since the foundation of Aero in 1992, O’Brien has been celebrated for interpreting modernism into a warm and livable style. From private residences to commercial properties, product design to brand and fine art consulting, his work is notorious, with vintage elegance and a practical useful home feeling at the same time.

 

 

His concept of modern was born from the merging of historical origins, the shared simplicity between 20th century and classical forms, the balance of rustic and refined, comfort and rarity. His inspirations blossom from the farmhouse as much as the townhouse, and he is a lifelong student of American antiques and architecture.
