Rockwell Group is based in downtown New York with a satellite office in Madrid and Shangai.It was founded by late David Rockwell in 1984. In this moment, the office has a team of creative minds of designers from all around the world that have Gonzalo Bustamante, Melissa Hoffman, Barry Richards and Richard Chandler as the studio leaders, and Shawn Sullivan and Greg Keffer as partners.

Rockwell Group is an innovative, tech-savvy firms that create multisensory environments using artistic lighting systems and arresting visual effects. They are a group specializing in a wide batch of work from luxury hospitality, cultural and healthcare projects, to educational, product and set design.
It’s diverse and enormous portfolio includes Nobu Hotels and restaurants, the auditorium for the 2014 TED Conference, and the occasional high-end residence.
To mark their 30th anniversary, in 2014, the Rockwell Group published a book What If…? The Architecture and Design of David Rockwell. The books show the designer’s interest in material and sensory experiences by using unusual silkscreen. The voices are highlighted by the use of different typefaces, bringing personal perspectives and behind the scenes details of life.
At the moment, one of their most anticipating architecture pieces is a $60 million concert hall, The Anthem, for the famous promoter Seth Hurwitz. The room’s features are a movable stage, angled balconies and an outside terrace with striking waterfront vista. The Anthem will have room to accommodate arena-size productions and balconies that are wedged to the stage so it can offer better views.
