Every year Elle Decor selects the best of the best when it comes to interior designers, the Elle Decor A list 2017, Today here at Room decor ideas let’s talk about one of my favorites, Nate Berkus.
His love of design started from a young age, his mom, HGTV designer Nancy Golden, always brought him items from yard sales and antique malls, so it’s no surprise he developed a penchant for rearranging furniture while he was still a child.
From a young age, Nate gave is first steps in the industry and stepped out on his own, starting Nate Berkus Associates in 1995. He’s still at the helm of the company now, 21 years later. You probably know is face from TV, he was a regular guest on Oprah’s show from 2002 until he started his spinoff series “The Nate Berkus Show” in 2010.
Nate created this project in almost 2.5 years, he tried to create rooms that were assembled and layered over time. He said on his website that he actually was jealous of his clients because they could live there forever
This project in Milan was a challenged to Nate since it was a totally different experience, in this case, Nate used a lot of furniture from locals and especially from markets.
In the pictures above we can see how versatile and original Nate is, and as a formal responsible for a textile collection, this kind of details never go unnoticed by him. He always makes sure the room he creates tell a story and to do that Nate mixes colors, texture, finish and above all, he uses and abuses antiques and more personal furniture pieces.
A-list from Elle Decor features new additions and grand master already known. We gather some of their choices to sharpen your curiosity in this article but don’t go too far we will continue to grind all the exquisite profiles in this list, Nate is the fist one, however, that are many to come.
