The best way to define Kelly Hoppen‘s home as a whole has to do with her unique ability to blend in an Eastern principle of simplicity with the trend of the West for rich textures and finishes. In one year and three months, the British interior designer managed to give this the 7,000-sqft, two-story residence a memorable touch, as well as create a sanctuary for herself.
The home features a neutral coloured palette of taupes, whites, beiges and greys. Sometimes you can find a set of unique elements marked by the shades of green, bronze, nickel and rose gold. Of course, as we’ve previously mentioned, the fabrics and textures are also main characters in adding dimension to this unique luxury space.
This lovely sight continues all throughout the beautiful wooden floors in the wide living room. Another feature that we definitely recognize from Kelly Hoppen‘s signature style is the pendant lights found a little throughout every room of her home. She even has a couple of “glass bubbles” floating above the seating area with the main goal of adding movement to this space.
This wouldn’t be a Kelly Hoppenproject without the presence of some of her own furniture conceptions. For example, in the Master Bedroom, we can see a chaise longue designed by Hoppen herself, or even the aforementioned “glass bubbles”, along with a huge collection of vintage furniture mixed with her very own customized pieces. In this very home, you can also find, for example, two stools designed by India Mahdavi, and even a dramatic loop chandelier designed by Niamh Barry.
We Suggest:
Stanley retro pendant lamp is inspired by some of the most iconic lighting designs of the 1960s. It is handmade in brass and aluminium, with a nickel-plated finish on the body, and glossy black lacquer on the outer part of lampshades. The inside is lacquered a matte white. With three changeable arms, this mid-century modern lighting fixture has three counterweights all built of iron. All these features can be customized by request to include different finishes and any RAL colour of your choosing. A modern light pendant that embodies all the best from the 50s and 60s interior design style, which looks amazing in any mid-century dining room, or a colourful kitchen.
