Columbian-born designer Edgardo Osorio’s luxe aesthetic and eye for detail have come to life in the Aquazzura footwear collection. After studying at the London College of fashion and Central Saint Martins, Osorio made his way into the world of fashion footwear with stints at luxury labels such as Roberto Cavalli and Salvatore Ferragamo. Today, Osorio’s passion for classic silhouettes and modern sophistication shows in every pair of Aquazzura shoes and now in this astonishing.
De Gournay is a family-owned company with showrooms in 39 countries, including New York, London, Paris, Shanghai, and Moscow, they are one of the most well-loved wallpaper ateliers in the world and this year in a match made in design heaven, much-loved textile house De Gournay have teamed up with cult shoe label Aquazzura for a whimsical collection just in time for the European summer.
The new trend for this 2017 summer it definitely floral Hand-painted materials, from Dolce&Gabanna to Tempaper Designs to Gournay and across catwalks worldwide everyone is using and abusing it.
In this Collection, the decadent wallpaper prints use vivid colors and hand-painted detailing to create a tropical, colorful finish the new designs are absolutely dreamy. Drawing on influences from Juan Gatti paintings and old-fashioned botanical illustrations, the final product is the result of a collaboration between Aquazzura’s Edgardo Osorio and de Gournay.
Gournay’s preference is always for vibrant, balanced and contrasting colors that create an aura of happiness, allowing you to relax surrounded by beauty after a hectic day.
Available at de Gournay’s showrooms across the world, the collection was first unveiled during Paris Fashion Week and not only will the wallpaper be available and customizable, the design will be printed on five pairs of shoes, which will be available for sale too.
